The most iconic VS Fashion Show performances of all time

It’s the Christmas shopping season so you know what that means: time to watch six-foot-tall models strut a runway in elaborate lingerie that no one would ever actually wear!

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is tonight in Shanghai, China. And yes, the show is going on without Katy Perry, who was denied entry to the country along with a few models.

Speaking of Katy, sometimes we look forward to the musical guests rather than the models themselves. ESPECIALLY when the performer is dating one of the models. Or just broke up with them. Then it gets real interesting…

To prepare for your VS viewing, bask in the nostalgia by reliving some of the best performances the show has ever had.

The Weeknd

Who could forget the look on his recent ex-girlfriend Bella’s face as they locked eyes during her runway walk? Some said it was shade, others speculated that the two were rekindling their romance. Obviously not the latter as he quickly started dating Selena soon after. Regardless, we can all take a cue from Bella the next time we run into an ex.

Maroon 5

While we still adore Behati Prinsloo and their adorable daughter, Dusty, who could forget his first VS bae, Anne V? When he sees her walk down the runway during the “Aquatic Angels” section, he gives her an adorable kiss on the cheek, leaving her visibly shook. If you want to relive more Adam and Anne, check out their video, Misery.

Rihanna

I’m gonna let you finish, Candice Swanepoel, but Rihanna was the best VS angel of all time. The effortless, yet badass way she struts it all during her performance of “Phresh Out the Runway” could teach a few of the Angels a thing or two about the perfect runway walk.

Justin Timberlake

Our hearts ache when we think about the golden days of Gisele Bundchen’s VS catwalk career. Shamelessly rejoice in your love by watching this steamy performance of JT’s infamous classic, “SexyBack.” Can someone invent a time machine so we can go back to the 2000’s?

The Spice Girls

Just when we thought our favorite girl group of the ’90s was gone forever, they hit us with this incredible comeback. After a seven year hiatus, we once again got to argue with our friends over who was the Posh Spice of the group.

Kanye West

Four years after backing out of the 2007 show because his mom died, he made his VS debut a tribute to her. Before his performance of “Stronger” he took a moment to honor her by calling her his Super Angel.

Justin Bieber

Adorable little JB gave an incredible performance of his catchy hit, “Beauty and a Beat.” This was around the time where he cut his signature hair, and we could all tell he was starting to grow up.

Ariana Grande

Even though it wasn’t aired, when footage leaked of poor Ari getting hit in the face by a pair of Angel wings, the internet couldn’t handle it. Not only did it give us a good three months of memes, but her performance embodied the fun, bubbly spirit of VS.
