Mara Hoffman Debuts Moroccan-Inspired Resort Line At The Versace Mansion
During a recent trip to Morocco, Mara Hoffman wandered through the Jardin Majorelle, hypnotized by the scent of spices, mint tea leaves, metal lanterns, and brightly colored slippers peddled on the street of the country’s famed souks. This weekend, Miami Swim Week attendees were invited back to the region to celebrate the debut of Mara’s Resort Swim 2016 collection, accentuated with Moroccan-style poufs, silk headscarves, and prints inspired by elaborate tiling. The collection displays Hoffman’s signature reversible swim pieces, as as well as updated crocheted one-pieces, high necklines, halter tops, The Versace Mansion provided a cinematic backdrop for Mara’s models—statuesque women with bronzed skin and loose curls sat pretty, dramatically framed by exotic red rugs and tropical plants. Whether in Morocco or Miami, however, Hoffman holds true to her vision.“We design for the open-minded, for the adventurous girl who is confident in her own skin and not afraid of color,” she said, before adding, in true Mara Hoffman fashion—”And she definitely has a bit of a weirdo spirit hiding inside.”
