Lindsay Lohan is working on a candle line, “haute couture,” her own island and more
There’s been plenty of speculation on WTF Lindsay Lohan is doing in her new home of Dubai. And it turns out the answer is: a lot!
Lindsay is working on at least five uniquely time-consuming projects, if her recent interview with W magazine is to be believed.
“My mind thinks so many things at every second,” she explains in the piece.
Let’s count down Lindsay’s new projects, shall we?

1. Lohan Beauty
We already knew about this one — Lindsay’s teased it on her Instagram. But now we know at least one of the products: a cream blush.
“I love lipstick, but I love using lipstick as blush,” she told W. “But if I have a cream blush, I want to be able to use it on my lips and not worry about breaking out after. So, I developed one.”
She’s talkin’ like a Kardashian now!
2. A fashion line that’s “closer to haute couture”
We all remember Lindsay’s legging line, 6126, which I firmly believed was the pinnacle of fashion back in 2008. But it turns out Linds is now working on a line that’s even closer to haute couture than that was.
“I did my leggings line, but I think I was filming [too much], and I didn’t have the focus,” she now says, adding the new line will be “closer to haute couture.”
And before you pooh-pooh this claim, think about it. My favorite lumpy sweater is closer to haute couture than a pair of leggings. So Lindsay’s lofty fashion goal is actually pretty attainable.
3. Her own island
Casual! We actually knew about this thanks to Lindsay’s earth-shattering recent appearance on Wendy Williams. It’s going to be called Lohan Island, and it’s going to be shaped like the car from “Herbie: Fully Loaded.” Just kidding, apparently they HATED each other during filming.
So why does Lindsay want an island?
“I figured, I’ve gone to enough, I should have my own,” Lindsay told Wendy. “It’s really fun, it’s a fun place.”
I’ve said this about Arby’s like 90 times and they still won’t give me a franchise.
4. Her own nightclub
This one is actually happening! In Mykonos! The website plays a remix of Rihanna’s “Wild Thoughts.” Is that legal? Maybe in Greece.
5. Humanitarian work
Lindsay wants to start a foundation that will help with “uniting kids and families and giving them a light in their life.” Which brings us to…
6. Lohan Candles
You can’t light up someone’s life without candles, can you?
Lindsay’s idea for a candle line “stemmed from the idea of doing a charity walk and making candles to light the path,” W reports.
And guess what: a bona fide, honest-to-goodness Lohan Candle was “flicker[ing] behind” the writer and Lindsay throughout the interview, so I think we can all agree this project is officially underway.
7. Acting in an all-female Saudi film project
Lindsay is still acting, thank f*ck. Not only did she appear in a new sitcom alongside Ron Weasley, but she’s also appearing in “Frame,” which W describes as “an all-female movie out of Saudi Arabia that will begin shooting in April.”
“To do an all-female project [in Saudi Arabia] is a milestone,” she said. “Everything happens for a reason. I would have never expected to do a movie at this time that I have such a say in, and coming out of Shadi, Riyadh, and Abu Dhabi. I feel lucky.”

7. Thinking about stalking people
Lindsay hasn’t forgotten about her stateside acting career, either. Heck, if she wasn’t too famous to get away with it, she’d be stalking big-time action movie producers as we speak.
“I even considered flying to Los Angeles the other day just to stalk them for ‘Batgirl,’” she told W. “It’s true. I thought, How do I get to Los Angeles without anyone knowing that I’m there?”
Solid point. So instead of stalking them, she opted to mock up a photo of herself as Batgirl next to a photo of herself on the red carpet and tweet it with no comment.

8. Growing out her natural hair color
This might seem like a small task compared to saving the world and developing cream blush, but trust: as a fellow faux platinum blonde who’s trying to return to her red roots, it’s harder than you’d think.
“My hair was starting to grow back red, and I was starting to look like a white pumpkin with orange roots,” she told W. “So I was like, ‘This is a sign that I’m meant to go back to red.’
“With blonde hair, you really have to maintain and everything I wear is different,” she continued. “You feel like you have to be blonde. And I don’t want to have to feel like that in life.”
Totally, totally. W characterizes the hair color switcheroo as “a sign of a deeper understanding of herself.”

9. Not being shot by the paparazzi, but having a very mature outlook on it anyway
Celebrities love to complain about the paparazzi even though, let’s face it, they’re usually either tipping off photographers themselves or hanging around LA and NYC hotspots hoping to get papped.
But Lindsay, who lived through arguably the most invasive time period in paparazzi history, doesn’t complain.
“I never considered people taking a picture ‘bothering’ me,” she says, “but I don’t want people to misinterpret who I am as a person if they see me sneezing and they say I’m crying. I do really appreciate having the life where I can just go outside and not have to worry.”
She also feels like the paps are less invasive in general since stars are more willing to put it all out there on their own social accounts:
“We didn’t have Instagram… It would have been a lot calmer for me. When you think about it, paparazzi are not as crazy as they used to be when I used to be in New York. Now I can just [take a picture] before I walk out the door and then there is no story. It’s good, but it’s a little in-genuine. But don’t you think it’s going to go away? It used to be, the less you are seen, the better. But that’s impossible. What, are you never going to leave home?”
So Lindsay is not getting papped in Dubai and she’s fine with it, thank you very much, because it frees up her mental bandwidth to deal with her final project…
10. Thinking about directing
Because what actor isn’t?!
“It’s always good to have something going on,” Lindsay concludes at the end of the W piece. “Otherwise, I’m bored. Only boring people get bored. And I’m not a boring person.”
That’s for damn sure.
