Lana Del Rey Calls Herself a “F*cking Legend” In Her New Song

It’s a complicated time to be alive right now, and rest assured that your friendly neighborhood witch Lana Del Rey is well aware of the contradictions.

Just like all the celebrities and college friends of yours whose Coachella antics dominated your Instagram feed, Lana had a great time last weekend, but perhaps unlike the rest of those people, on her way home, Lana took a detour to contemplate what was going on with the rest of the world.

“I’m not gonna lie,” Lana wrote on Instagram. “I had complex feelings about spending the weekend dancing whilst watching tensions w North Korea mount.”

Stopping in the middle of a densely wooded park, Lana got out of whatever vehicle she was in and took the time to sing us a little “prayer for peace” in which she happened to humble brag about being a “fucking legend.”

While previously we’d thought Lana was getting into witchcraft to defeat Trump, perhaps this is all one big sign she’s actually using her powers to try and proliferate world peace.

“I find it’s a tightrope between being vigilantly observant of everything going on in the world and also having enough space and time to appreciate God’s good earth the way it was intended to be appreciated,” Lana continued in her Instagram caption. “I just wanted to share this in hopes that one individual’s hope and prayer for peace might contribute to the possibility of it in the long run. Hope everyone has a nice day, with love from California.”

The unnamed song is packed with old-school rock lyrics (“stairway to heaven”), meditations on fame, and a hauntingly beautiful melody.

Basically it’s the perfect Lana appetizer to get her fans even hungrier for the release of her new album, “Lust For Life,” which will come out sometime in the indefinite future, unless nuclear war envelops us all tomorrow in which case RIP us.

On my way home I found myself compelled to visit an old favorite place of mine at the rim of the world highway where I took a moment to sit down by the sequoia grove and write a little song. I just wanted to share this in hopes that one individual’s hope and prayer for peace might contribute to the possibility of it in the long run.
