Kylie Jenner Reveals How Justin Bieber Keeps Her Sane
Kylie Jenner was the unexpected queen of 2015, and the 18-year-old is already getting off to a good start as far as 2016 is concerned.
Last night the Internet revealed that Kylie would be gracing the cover of Elle UK’s February issue, looking less like a made up doll and more like the au natural beauty that any of Kylie’s 46.5 million followers know she is (or at least, has the capacity to be).
Inside the pages, Kylie gets real about how Justin Bieber has helped keep her sane, her dreams of quitting Instagram some day, and how even after getting lip fillers, her lips are still her biggest insecurity.
Even though Kylie Jenner is the queen of Instagram, with over 1 billion likes this year alone (which is more than any of her sisters received), she’s already dreaming of the day when she’s freed from the shackles of social media.
“Once I have a kid I’m not going to be on Instagram. You know, I’ll probably delete my Instagram and just…I don’t know, live life.”
Not that Kylie could ever lead a “normal” life, but then again, as one of my favorite childhood books made abundantly clear, it’s pretty much impossible to define that word.
Although Kylie Jenner cozies up with male model of the moment Lucky Blue Smith in Elle UK’s photo shoot, the reality star spends her interview dishing about a different guy she’s cozied up to this year: Justin Bieber.
“I’m so close to him because I feel like he’s been through exactly what I’ve been through in a completely different way but very similar. So, he’s just…he just…he gets me, and every time I see him he always sits me down and is like, ‘Are you okay? You’re amazing. You can get through this, just stay true to yourself.’ He helps me a lot.”
By this point the Internet has moved on from being scandalized that Kylie Jenner got lip fillers to achieve her signature pout, but that doesn’t mean that Kylie has. “I was so insecure about my lips. Even now I always post photos where my finger is always in front of my mouth… it’s a habit: I would always cover my lips,” she confesses. “I couldn’t even talk to people. Or guys. Like, [I’d be thinking]: ‘I know you’re looking at my lips, but you so don’t want to kiss me right now.'”
Although we have to wait until Elle UK‘s February issue hits the stand to read the full interview, at least the Internet threw us a bone and gave us something to look forward to.
