Kendall’s Pepsi Ad Got Dragged So Hard They Deleted It
Yesterday Pepsi unveiled an ad in which Kendall Jenner discovered wokeness and maybe solved racial injustice with the help of a single can of Pepsi.
It was impressively tone deaf and misguided and even though Pepsi was initially willing to stand by it and hope people forgot about it in a few days, today they decided it would be best to pull the ad from their Youtube channel and pretend like none of this ever happened.

In a statement they said:
“Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position.”
TBH it’s nice of them to apologize to Kendall Jenner, but also unnecessary.
Kendall Jenner is grown enough to at least theoretically have the self-awareness to take one look at this ad, recognize how bad it was and say thanks for the opportunity, but no thanks.
And Kendall knows she messed up, which is why she deleted all the tweets she posted yesterday about the ad. Even Kris deleted her congratulatory tweet.
It seemed like Kendall was trying to steadily become more political. In a storyline last season on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” we saw Kendall go from squeamish about addressing political issues, to semi-vocal on gun control. It seemed like she’d been tepidly inching toward incorporating wokeness into her brand. Too bad this Pepsi incident might scare her from taking a stand for good. It looks like Kim will have to continue to bear the burden of being the woke one of the family.
Better luck next time, Kendall.
