What The F*** Is Eyelash Primer?
Many have heard of it, maybe bought it, and perhaps even used it? But not many people know what the f*** eyelash primer ACTUALLY does. We all know Kendall Jenner is the new face of Estee Lauder, and that her first campaign is for the Little Black Primer — advertised as the “little black dress” of eyelash primers. Did they compare it to a little black dress because the primer has many different uses? Maybe. For example, it can be used as a tint if you just want a nice black coat over your lashes. You can also use it as a base for your mascara to enhance the volume and length of your lashes. OR you can use it to set your mascara, meaning to apply the “LBP” under your mascara to ensure long lasting and waterproof mascara.
Most lash primers are either clear or have a white coloring to them, aside from Estee Lauder (who officially has taken this lash primer thing to another level). Lash primers are usually formulated with vitamin E, and collagen to condition and strengthen lashes, thus making them appear longer and fuller even before you apply your mascara. While all of those ingredients are doing your lashes some good, be wary of the super long words you don’t know — because who the f*** can even pronounce them? Common ingredients in lash primers are table salt (LMAO) and a form of wax. Whether you choose to spend your money to achieve the latest Jenner/Kardashian family trend or not is completely up to you, but now at least you can go to sleep knowing what the F*** eyelash primer is. This all seems really intense for a quick and easy morning ritual, but to each their own.
