Kate Moss X Topshop: The Pieces We Have To Have
It’s been over three since Kate Moss’ last collection for Topshop, but praise be she’s back with a new line inspired by the best bits of her very own wardrobe.
The full spring/summer haul is bursting with billowing ‘70s shapes, slinky evening gowns and tassels galore. With a noticeably more sophisticated and detailed look to her latest designs, Kate Moss is helping us all out to step-up our everyday glamour game.
Here are the essential pieces we can’t wait to dress up in come April 30th when Kate Moss x Topshop goes on sale.
The Feather Embellished LDB
Kate Moss has only gone and re-created the dress she wore to Cannes in 1998 when she had Johnny Depp hanging off her arm. The original was a late ‘50s/early ’60s design purchased from the ultra-exclusive Montaldo’s, but now you too can add this oh-so-necessary number to your wardrobe with no vintage dealers required.
The Pyjama Suit
It’s official – pyjama dressing is back. Kate Moss declared it so on the weekend when she donned her own matching coat and trouser set to the Oliver Awards. Embrace the onslaught of paisley and ditch the handbag as the sizable pockets should house your phone/money/lipstick/whatever-you-can’t-leave-home-without quite adequately.
The Suede Jacket
Tassels are clearly high on Kate Moss’ fashion agenda for the coming seasons what with this collection boasting numerous dresses and jackets adorned with them. We’ll be going for the black suede variation for a Rolling Stone groupie-inspired look. Just add an oversized hat, micro denim shorts and kohl smudged eyes.
The Sequin Cardigan
This is rather reminiscent of a 1920’s glittering cover-up Kate Moss wore to a Linda McCartney exhibition back in 2008 but we’ll be wearing ours layered up at summer festivals, poolside with a bikini, teamed with skinny jeans during the day… Actually we’ll be wearing this everywhere and with everything.
