It seems you give tons of advice through your Tumblr! Literally, you are kind of like the perfect self-help book that randomly includes beauty and fashion advice. How has Tumblr allowed you to connect to your fans?
I feel like Tumblr is the greatest platform for me to truly express who I am via the internet. I personally feel like “Who am I giving someone else advice? I need some myself!” But it really makes me feel like I’ve accomplished so much when I hear a person say, “Thank you, you helped me out a lot” or “I’ve never thought of it like that before.” It makes me feel a lot closer to my unicorns, and it also lets me know that I’m not alone in any situation – I’m not the only one who feels like this or went through a similar problem. I feel like no matter how much I grow and progress in my career I will always speak to my fans through Tumblr.
How would you describe your personal aesthetic?
My personal aesthetic is edgy, sexy, vintage, and even a bit spiritual. I live in a creative space and I feel like that’s what makes me cool and relatable. I’m young so I’m constantly changing. I’m still figuring out who I am, but what has remained the same is my overall vibe and that definitely shows in the way I dress, my style of music, and my personal aesthetic. I’m a free, R&B, magical unicorn spirit who’s sprinkling her magic all over the universe!
Does your personal style influence your music? And vice versa?
My style definitely does influence my music a lot, and vice versa. I wear a lot of dark colors – it’s very rare I’m dressed super colorful even though my hair is purple. The dark colors can be seen oozing throughout my music. Most of my records have a sort of dark, sultry vibe to it. I’m super emotional lol.
What is your go to performance makeup look?
My go to performance makeup look is pretty complicated, lol. I’m not sure if I know exactly what I’m doing when it comes to makeup; all I know is that people seem to like it! First I start off by using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 Illuminating (Bronze Radiance). Then I do my eyebrows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Pencil – Ebony. Then I go to the eyes… I use MAC Soft Brown Matte eyeshadow, MAC Corduroy Matte eyeshadow & MAC Twinks Veluxe Pearl eyeshadow. Then I use NC50 Select Cover-Up as a conceder to cover up dark circles under the eye. Then I use NYX Jumbo Eyeliner – Black Bean. I use MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation – N9 on the rest of my face (lightly). MAC Studio Fix Powder C9 to highlight certain spots (under the eyes, chin, forehead). MAC Studio Fix Powder NW50 to give a matte look for the rest of my face. For blush I use Laura Mercier Lush Nectarine. Finally I use Laura Mercier Golden Mosiac Shimmer Bloc Bronzer to give my face a bronzy look.

Prada top and pants, Gianfranco Ferre coat & Chanel suspenders from Gabriel Held Vintage.
How do you keep your skin clear after a long and sweaty performance?
I use the Clinique 3 Step face wash, astringent and lotion twice a day.
Tips to achieving healthy hair like yours?
I wouldn’t say I have the healthiest hair due to all the bleaching and dying, but I keep it from being damaged by using Wen Cleansing Conditioner.
You are from Brooklyn! How has growing up in NY influenced your style?
Growing up in Brooklyn has definitely influenced my style – it’s given me this super edgy, relaxed vibe to the way I do everything. Whether it’s music, fashion, or just my physical being as a whole, you can tell I’m a native New Yorker. Now that I’m visiting all these new places it really brings to my attention how much of a Brooklyn girl I am.
Secret to your sultry lashes?
I go to this dope place in NYC called Bling Lash, I don’t normally give my secret away but for you guys I’ll let it slide lol.
What was the best part about working with Tyga?
Being very new to the industry, you never really know how other artists will perceive you. I feel like the coolest part about working with Tyga was that he was willing to give this new artist from Brooklyn a chance. He’s super humble and always has positive things to say. He sort of made me feel welcomed into the music industry by hopping on my track.
If you could only use one lipstick forever, which one would it be?!
Honestly I don’t think I could choose ONE specific favorite lipstick…I don’t wear “lipstick” much anymore. Something that I do wear daily on my lips that I can’t live without is MAC Creamsheen – Delight.
You tweeted that you HATE BRAS. How does a girl overcome fear of being braless?
Truly accepting your body and yourself…I get that they’re sort of necessary for some women, but I feel like you should ultimately do what makes you comfortable.
