James Franco Loves Lana Del Rey So Much He Wrote A Book About Her
James Franco is a lot of things: an actor, a novelist, a poet, a filmmaker, that guy who always falls asleep in class, and last but not least, he’s a big fan of Lana Del Rey (and if you haven’t read his love letter that he wrote for Lana in V Magazine, consider it your required summer reading). At this point, the idea of James Franco tackling any project should hardly come as a surprise, so let’s try and take the news that he co-wrote a book all about Lana with complete equanimity.
“Just write around me, it’s better if it’s not my own words. It’s almost better if you don’t get me exactly, but try.”
Partnering up with bestselling author David Shields, the 100-page book entitled “Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations With Lana Del Rey”. When the Renaissance man first approached Lana about the idea of interviewing her for a book, the singer replied, “Just write around me, it’s better if it’s not my own words. It’s almost better if you don’t get me exactly, but try.”
Flip-Side is getting released on March 15th curtesy of Penguin Random House, and you’re probably going to want to remember to pre-order it because whether it’s horrible or wonderful, it’s sure to be a must-read.
