Apparently, hot water and your skin do not match.

“Avoid using very hot water because it strips the skin of its natural oils,” the co-director of theWashington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi told Teen Vogue.

But don‘t worry, you won’t have to give yourself the ice bucket challenge every time you want to rinse off.

“Warm water is best for a shower to be comfortable without drying out the skin,” Dr. Tanzi continued.
