Heading To EDC? Here’s Your Broke Girls Guide to Sin City

In case you don’t know, the giant edm focused music fest Electric Daisy Carnival or more commonly known as EDC is taking place this weekend in none other than Sin City. Event goers are paying about $400 bucks for three days of turning up to their fav electric dance music in carefully thought out costumes, dancing till dawn with thousands of their closest PLUR life friends. Unfortunately, not all of us have a bunch of money to blow on partying, but hey, we still want to have fun. And let’s face it, we still want to go to Vegas sometimes to have a few regrettable (and forgettable) nights with our girls. Here’s a guide for us ladies who want to have a bit of fun on a budget in the unholiest city in the world.

5 Fun (and cheap) things to do on the Las Vegas Strip:

1. Welcome to Las Vegas Sign
S. Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119

You’re just driving in and you really want that perfect first insta pic. Yeah it’s kind of out of the way, but you can park for free, wait in line for a minute and some touristy dude will snap a pic of you and your friends (before you look severely hungover).

2. Take a Stroll Down the Strip
(Start at MGM Grand)
3799 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Okay so you’re settling into your hotel room and getting ready for the evening and wondering what the heck you guys should do because it’s still too early to go out. So why not take a walk down the strip? I recommend starting at or around the MGM Grand so you can see the entire thing, plus optimal photo ops. Try collecting as many of those cards with girls on them as possible (you know what I’m talking about) and you can grab one of those tall slushy drinks along the way (yum)!

3. Visit the Eiffel Tower
3655 S. Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

So you’ve been walking for a little, and what do you know? You made it to Paris! Oh and hey, there’s the Eiffel Tower! Yeah it’s really pretty from the ground, but if you want to take a lift up to the top it’s $14 in the day and $19 after 7pm. You haven’t spent anything yet today, so seeing a gorgeous view of the strip seems worth it, right?

4. Get a Bite to Eat
Holstein’s – Las Vegas (Inside the Cosmopolitan), 3708 Las Vegas Boulevard South
Las Vegas, NV  89109

By now you’re probably a little hungry and it’s getting late, but you don’t want spend a ton of dough on food. Check out Holstein’s where you and your friends can split a few pretty tasty dishes for about $10 to $15 each before you go out.

5. Go OUT!
The Bank (in Bellagio) 3600 Las Vegas Blvd South, Las Vegas, NV 89109

So if you haven’t realized by now, club promoters have been trying to get you and your **hawtt** friends to go out to their clubs fo free. But you don’t want to go with just any fuckboi. To be honest, most clubs in Vegas are pretty similar, but The Bank is a cool one in a nice hotel, so there are better chances of a good time. Plus, a lot of musicians have their after parties there, so you’ll get free entrance and dranks all night long.
