Harvard Sex Week Includes “BDSM In the Dorm Room” & “Anal Sex 101”

Harvard kids might be stereotyped as the nerdy, studious kids who stay in on the weekends and play chess; but their school’s annual “sex week” proves otherwise. Maybe it’s because Harvard students were too busy studying in high school to get laid, or maybe it’s because Harvard students play hard as much as they work hard, but they clearly are all about sexual education.

Their “sex week” includes a variety of topics and lessons, including “Anal Sex 101” and “BDSM in the dorm.” The reference to anal sex is why the events have garnered so many headlines. Commentators on sites such as The College Fix have called the events “downright vulgar,” and many conservative students are protesting about the homosexual connotations of anal sex.

Hey, conservatives, did you know that all humans have asses? And you can take a dick in your ass no matter what gender or sexuality you associate with?

Regardless of haters, we wish we had events like this at our college. I mean, imagine how different your freshman year would have been if dudes knew how to act like Christian Grey in your dorm room instead of thinking two condoms is the right way to fuck because of Asher Roth’s “I Love College?” Or maybe if dudes at least realized that lube was necessary to have any type of anal intercourse?

Either way, we applaud Kirin Gupta, the co-president of Sexual Health Education &Advocacy Throughout Harvard, otherwise known as SHEATH. When asked by MTV how he would respond to haters saying “this workshop is somehow evidence of America’s crumbling morality,” he responded “I would say that the idea America has a crumbling morality, that we have some kind of morality that’s standing, is built on repressive patriarchal conceptions of sex and sexuality. So if that’s crumbling, then let it crumble.”
