Get The Runway Look From Luli Fama’s SS16 Resort Collection Debut
Luli Fama’s ‘Dream Catcher’ show on Saturday awakened a wanderlust of free spirit in even the most minimal Swim Week attendees using its bohemian influence. Loli’s signature prints and punchy colors, combined with fresh, neutral, earthy tones played upon her “gypset” (gypsy + jetset) muse. Silhouettes were classic and effortless, while playful patterns were made to pop against tan skin, white sands and turquoise waters. The hand-done fringe, lace, and crochet details renewed the sometimes tired boho femme mood, and the silhouettes were designed to enhance every body type, so girls from stick skinny to BBW can find a perfect suit in this collection.
“The wearer will be transported to a relaxed land of new experiences, endless sun and a feeling of whimsy and freedom when slipping into the swimsuits,” said designer Luli Hanimian. “There is an easygoing and fun-loving sense of adventure sewn into every suit.”
To get the runway look, tie brightly coloured yarn into messy braids and apply metallic temporary tattoos to your freshly tanned limbs. The models also wore string entwined between their toes and heavy silver jewelry in the form of chunky necklaces and body chains, plus colorful feathers cascading skirt-like from their waists.
