Galore’s Real-Life Valentine Studs: Joel, Founder of NAKED

Valentine’s Day is around the corner. We could be interviewing celebrities, Instagram models, and other guys whose PR teams would restrict half of their answers, but we went a different route.

After all, wouldn’t you rather hear what real guys think about sex? As in, guys who you might actually have a shot at matching with on Tinder this weekend or running into at the bar on February 14th with the other drunk singles.

We’re counting down a new sexy dude every day until Valentine’s Day, and today’s V-Day crush is Joel Primus.

Joel is the founder of NAKED, a brand that makes luxurious boxers, underwear, and loungewear for you and your man. Needless to say, he knows a thing or two about getting naked, not to mention he’s still pretty cute with his clothes on.

What’s the one thing that will make you fall for a girl?

If I’m already attracted to her then it’s her eyes and smile. Eyes are the window to the soul and a genuine smile — nothing beats an amazing smile!

What’s something that every girl needs to know about a guy’s boxers?

Firstly, boxers aren’t cool any more. It’s not even that they aren’t cool, it’s more that they’re just not functional. Get something fitted and make sure there is spandex in there so it is functional when he move around.

Can you give us some tips on buying undies for a guy for V-day?

For color, buy him any color you want as long as it’s black…or grey. A trunk is a sexier cut, but most men like a longer leg.  Anything is better than boxer shorts with smiley faces or hearts on them!

What’s your favorite thing about getting naked?

It’s about shedding all those layers we have and taking off the day really. Just being comfortable in your own skin and being yourself!

Finish this sentence: I could never date someone who was a fan of _____

Wrestling… not the kind in the Olympics!

Describe your type in 3 words.

Positive. Kind. Sexy. If you give me a fourth it’s adventurous.

Describe what type you are in 3 words.

Positive. Kind. Sexy.

What do all your exes have in common?

That’s tough to pinpoint. I actually think that each of my exes represents different aspects of my life and how I was feeling about myself at the time I was dating them. That’s one of the best things about life: the diversity, the journey, and how people can enter into our lives at just the right moment.

What type of person hits on you the most?

I’m fairly oblivious in that regard. I might mistake people being nice for hitting on me and vice versa. But people always seem to be nice!

What do you want for Valentine’s Day?

A full day naked in bed.

Do you think Valentine’s Day is overrated?

No day that celebrates love is overrated. Although I think it may be a lot of pressure for some and that’s no fun and not really the point.

What’s your most memorable Valentine’s Day (good or bad)?

All those V-Days in high school when the “Candy Grams” carts came around to classes from your secrete admirers. You’d be desperately hoping one would be for you, but I never got one. I’m scarred for life! That’s a flawed system!

What’s the worst date you’ve ever been on?

Not specifically a date, but my friend was going to meet this girl for a one night camping trip. She had a friend, so I was asked to tag along. Sparks did not fly but we were stuck in the woods in a tent together all night.

What’s the lamest pick up line you’ve ever used?

I stand proud that “hello” is the only pickup line I’ve ever used. How someone responds to an unsolicited, friendly “hello” says a lot about them. It’s a solid first judge of character.

What’s the best way that a girl can apologize to her dude after she messes up?

Makeup sex is always nice, but make sure that she (or he) talks about what happened afterwards. You can’t improve your relationship by makeup sex alone. You need to communicate and grow together.

What’s the sexiest thing about girls in the winter?

Keeping each other warm. I’m also a sucker for those leggings and high stockings look. I don’t know why.

What’s your Netflix and chill go-to?

I love Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown when it’s on there. But I’m more of a movie guy and try to keep current. Unfortunately, I travel so much that I don’t have much time to Netflix binge at home.

What’s your favorite candy?

Anything chocolate. Preferably dark. I’m not much of a candy guy.
