Galore Guide to The Oscars: Babes Who We’re Rooting For!
While we’re still recovering from the fact that our beloved Leo has never won an Oscar, and the fact that Lana wasn’t even nominated for a Grammy this year, all we can do is cross our fingers that the Oscars will go our way this time around! Check out the full list of nominees here, and read up to see who we are (and who you should be) rooting for!
Best Actress: Julianne Moore
Not to mention that she is a smokin’ hot red-head, you gotta admire Julianne Moore’s versatility. We love how she can pull off a serious, strenuous role as Dr. Alice Howland in the film, but still manage to completely surprise us, such as her surprising role in Don Jon as an older student who f***s Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Best Actor: Bradley Cooper
Okay, okay, we really tried not to let our sexual preferences get in the way of our judgements on who should win this aware. But c’mon, how can you ignore an amazing(ly good-looking) actor portraying a troubled war hero who is trying to simultaneously save his country and keep close with his family? Not to mention, Cooper gained about 40 pounds for the film, and is nearly hiding his gorgeous face with his beard, so we really aren’t just voting for him because he’s sexy!
Best Supporting Actress: Meryl Streep
Ooh, so many lovely ladies in this category that it’s hard to choose! But you can’t deny that Meryl Streep is a legend for a reason. I’m pretty sure when you have celebrities fawning over you at The Golden Globes, you know you’ve made it. Not to mention that Into The Woods has been an anticipated motion picture for a while now. This is also a record 19th nomination for Meryl, the most anyone has ever been nominated for, keep racking em up girl!
Best Costume Design: Anna B. Sheppard, “Maleficent”
While this might not be a widely talked about category, we think miss Sheppard certainly deserves it for her killer wardrobe, hair, and makeup for Angelina Jolie as Maleficent. If she wants to recreate something similar for my Halloween costume next year, I’m not opposed..
