Fashion Editors Are Literally Shunning Tiffany Trump

On Monday night, Tiffany Trump tried to be a normal rich person and sit front row at a New York Fashion Week show, only seeing as she’s no longer a normal rich person, the fashion world gave her the royal pariah treatment.

Nobody would sit next to her.

And everybody tweeted about it.

At first, we thought it was just one fashion editor who kind of went in on Tiffany, kind of just described what was happening for everybody who wasn’t there, but we were wrong.

It’s like in the blink of an eye, all the fashionistas in town reverted back to their mean girl high school roots.

Christina Binkley, former Wall Street Journal columnist, wrote, “nobody wants to sit next to Tiffany Trump at Philipp Plein, so they moved and the seats by her are empty,” and then she tweeted again to show the empty seats.

Editor-in-chief of Fashionista Alyssa Vingan Klein wrote, “Seating sh*tshow at Philipp Plein because no editors want to sit near Tiffany Trump. Shocker.”

And Nikki Ogunnaike, senior fashion editor at Elle, wrote, “1 hour late, editors fleeing just so they don’t have to sit behind Tiffany Trump” and “We moved and are down the hall. Come thru,” according to People.

Granted, everybody’s entitled to have their own opinion, but when you look at everybody’s reactions all together, it kind of seems unnecessarily petty.

Then again, of course fashion editors were going to tweet about how nobody was sitting next to Tiffany Trump, because that’s news and their job is to report and comment on the news.

But now, the tides are turning.

“Tiffany Trump is not a politician, she’s a teenager,” Philip Plein told TMZ, even though she’s like 23. “Can you blame a daughter for having a father with the wrong political direction?”

And on Wednesday’s episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg said, “You know what, Tiffany, I’m supposed to go to a couple more shows. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m coming to sit with you.”

Unsurprisingly, Tiffany is totally down.

“Thank you @WhoopiGoldberg,” Tiffany tweeted. “I’d love to sit with you too!”

The moral of this story is it’s okay to not like Tiffany Trump just because her father is Donald Trump.

That’s your right.

Tiffany stood by his side to help normalize him, and it’s okay if you don’t want to like her because of that.

But unless Tiffany magically gets Ivanka-like access into the inner dealings of the White House and stars weighing in on policy decisions, you don’t need to make such a show out of your disapproval.

After all, she’s just a 23-year-old teenager.
