Turns Out Everyone’s “Good Side” Is the Same in Pics
When it comes to getting pics taken, people love to go on and on about how you have to get them on their good side.
While common sense would suggest each person’s good side depends on their own unique facial structure, a new study suggests that’s one hundo percent wrong.
It doesn’t matter which side of your face makes your nose look smaller because every human alive on this earth (mostly) has the same good side.
No wonder taking group photos can be so difficult.
In a new study published by the journal “Experimental Brain Research,” it was found that people generally found pictures showing the left sides of faces more “pleasant” to look at.
And it didn’t matter whether they were looking at those faces in a reverse mirror shot or not – the findings remained the same.
The left side just looked better to people.
“Our results suggest that posers’ left cheeks tend to exhibit a greater intensity of emotion, which observers find more aesthetically pleasing,” explained the researchers in a written statement.
Random, but hey, who can fight science?
