Drake Just Dropped a New Single Out of Nowhere
Looks like ANTI won’t be the only new music you’re playing out on repeat this weekend.
Just a few days after making an appearance on Rihanna’s newest single, Drake dropped a new song tonight called “Summer Sixteen.” It’s the first song we’re hearing off of his upcoming album, “Views From the 6,” which should be out in April.
Drizzy tipped off fans by posting a pic of the album art for “Summer Sixteen” on Instagram 25 minutes before premiering the song on his Beats 1 radio show OVO Sound Radio. #OVOSoundRadio became a top trending topic on Twitter pretty much immediately after.
The song is a banger full of braggy lines and even a few more Meek Mill clapbacks. When Drake sings “looking for revenge” in the hook, and it’s tough to imagine that he’s not talking about Meek.
The most instantly iconic part of the song is a couplet about a certain Calabasas neighbor’s pool:
Now I got a house in LA, Now I got a bigger pool than Ye
And look man, Ye’s pool is nice, mine is just bigger is what I’m saying
Twitter users are losing it over the song:
