Dead Fish Are The One Accessory You Never Need To Try

While I’m all for experimenting when it comes to fashion, there’s one accessory I never need to try out: dead fish.

Three days ago, Moscow makeup artist Elya Bulochka came under scrutiny after posting photos of models wearing bright eye makeup, face jewels, dead angelfish, and what appears to be slime.  To add insult to injury, Bulochka also posted a picture (that’s since been deleted), of a transparent bag filled with newly-purchased, and still alive, fish which she captioned, ‘Guess what I’m wearing today.‘

Obviously, it didn’t take long before the backlash began.  One Instagram user wrote, “Today one dead fish, tomorrow someone’s finger. Disgusted that all this is referred to as the art of makeup.’  While another posted,  Animals are not things, why is this so difficult to understand.’

Bulochka defended her work by posting a picture of her own face, covered with sardines, asking her haters to spot the differences between the images.  In her eyes, what’s dead was dead.

Either way you look at it, it’s been a very gross couple of days on Instagram.
