Cruising: Our 6 Favorite Looks From The Chanel 2015 Resort Collection

Chanel debuted its 2015 cruise collection Dubai this week to a rush of social media fanaticism. The show unfurled at dusk in a gold and glass structure, accented by a forest of palm trees to complete the island-esque backdrop. The after party included a sexy performance by R&B singer Janelle Monae. The Arabian inspired line included oriental textiles, gold lame accents and an abundance of colorful embroideries. The show included big names such as Lindsay Wixson and Charlotte Free and some celebrity attendees were the likes of Tilda Swinton and Dakota Fanning. However it was the clothes that stole the show. Here are our favorite looks from the Chanel Resort line.

A colorful but not obnoxiously Lily Pullitzeresque take on resort wear. Draping this silky, shawl over a bikini could be a classy way to take a twist on beach ware. Maybe don’t wear it all at once though. One floral item is enough.

Very Cleopatra, Queen of the desert. Loving the golden draping and layered jewels. Classy, sexy and regal.

This is by far the most darkly seductive look of the bunch. It’s like a vampire mixed with desert royalty with a twist of snake charmer. The jeweled skirt, matching boots and neckline coupled with just a hint of midriff are giving us some seriously unique evening wear vibes.

Continuing on the goth theme, this is a slightly more buttoned up version of eveningwear. Bordering on funeral ready, but saving itself just in time by making the ruched silk skirt see through, it would take a girl with some serious confidence to pull this layered look off.

Our girl Soo Joo bringing back the flower prints and balloon pants. Loving the girly, rose colored dress. The pants? Not sure if anyone but the lanky limbed Soo Joo park could make them work, but we will keep them in mind for later.

Finally a look we could rock in the city. From the unstructured tuxedo jacket to the embroidered white blouse and loose black trousers, this look is sexy, professional and just relaxed enough to keep you out of business woman territory. Definitely the favorite look of the show!
