Kelly Rohr Is Not Apologizing For Being A Total Boss
This up and coming beauty Kelly Rohr is one to watch, we spotted her this summer at the Beach Bunny show in Miami and just had to put this babe on the cover.
How were you discovered?
At the shopping mall when I was 14, duh. Kidding. I actually got in to modeling through acting. I have been acting for the past few years, I studied Georgetown University and now work professionally in Los Angeles. The crossover between the fashion and entertainment industry is bigger than ever and continuing to grow. Thought I’d join in on the fun!
Do blondes really have more fun?
Having experienced both, I can confidently say Y-E-S. There’s just something about it!
You are the new bombshell every one will be buzzing about this year, what past bombshells have inspired you?
That’s flattering, thank you! I grew up with the 90s supermodels in my magazine pages so naturally, I have an affinity for those girls. Cindy, Claudia, Stephanie, Christy, Linda, Naomi! They always looked like they were having themselves a real good time. Big smiles, beautiful bodies, pure glamour!
How was it growing up in Connecticut? Were you a tomboy or a girly girl?
Total tomboy! I was born and lived in New York City till I was five but my parents wanted my siblings and I to have a backyard childhood so they raised us in Connecticut. I loved growing up in the country. My favorite scene in the movie “This is 40” is when Paul Rudd tells his daughter to go outside and play with sticks and she throws a hissy fit. I feel old saying “kids these days” but, kids these days don’t play outside anymore! Sticks were my jam!
What designer are you really in love with at the moment?
Teotoki! It’s a jumpsuit line by a beautiful Swedish designer. The jumpsuits come in an array of colors, patterns and cuts that are easy to dress up or down. Who doesn’t love a onesie! Pair a jumpsuit with some Dannijo jewelry, and you will be one chic chick!
We met you for the first time at the Beach Bunny Swimwear fashion show and fell in love with you. That show has helped jump start the career of many bombshells, so we’re sure greatness is ahead:
Well, the feeling is mutual! I love the way you guys work, spontaneity meets vision! The Beach Bunny Swimwear fashion show was my first runway experience, I’m hooked! What a rush! The music, the collaboration with the Blonds, the Barbarella vibe, the show was off the charts! It was the highlight of the Mercedes Benz swimwear fashion week this year!
What is your favorite BeachBunny swimsuit?
I’m partial to that hot pink bikini with the garter belt. I wore it in the show and in our shoot so I’ve had some pretty good times in it! I also loved that floral one piece, with a sheer V down the front, and a low cut back. Beach Bunny takes swim wear to the next level! The pieces are sexy, fun, and different but still very wearable…and did I mention crazy flattering! Now Beach Bunny is bringing their swimwear talent to lingerie, with their new line Love Haus. Talk about an amazing fit!
What is the one thing you cant live with out?
Lets see: there’s pasta, sleep, the New York Times, cold beer, chocolate! But final (and slightly cheesy but very true) answer is, family. I’m a huge homebody at heart. I adore my siblings. They’re my best friends. I got really lucky in that department.
What makes a bombshell?
A lot of confidence and a little mystery. Oh, and big hair.
What is next for you this year?
A lot of really exciting projects, but you will have to wait and see.
What does girl power mean to you?
To me, girl power is knowing what you want and going after it with everything you’ve got. It’s not taking no for an answer, no is just a word. Girl power is being a total boss and not apologizing for it. Mix some girl power with a big SMILE, you will be amazed at how far it will take you!
Bombshells are the future of fashion. What are your thoughts are we going back to the days of the bombshells like in the 70s, 80s ,and 90s?
Various types of models have come in and out of vogue but bombshells are always in! The 90’s were great because the “type” was bombshell. Those 90s girls had it! It was before social media, so there was still mystery around them. You couldn’t quite grasp them. You always wondered what those bombshells were up to.
