Cara Delevingne Wrote a Teen Novel About Sexuality & Betrayal
No famous model/actress really needs a book deal, but that didn’t stop Cara Delevingne from announcing on Tuesday morning that she had exciting news.
She’d written a book.
And not a tell-all memoir about her time as one of the world’s reigning supermodels at the beginning of the social media era, but a “twisty coming-of-age” novel about teen sexuality and betrayal.
Leave it to Cara to know JUST what you want to read, right?
Holding up her manuscript, Cara gushed on Intagram, “Another pinch me moment!! Announcing my first novel Mirror, Mirror, coming out this October! SO EXCITED !!!”
She went on to elaborate that, “Mirror, Mirror is a twisty coming-of-age story about sixteen year old friends Red, Leo Naima and Rose who are all trying to figure out why they are and navigate the minefield of school and relationships. Until it all changes one day…(que scary music.)”
And yes, she said “que,” although she probably meant to say “cue.”

Now, if you’re sitting there thinking, “there’s no way in h double hockey sticks Cara Delevingne wrote a whole novel by herself, she’s busy!” then you’re right.
Cara wrote the book with bestselling-author Rowan Coleman and according to The Bookseller, the novel will also tackle “identity, sexuality, friendship, and betrayal,” which means there’s a super likely chance there will be at least one woke story line.
And if all works out for Cara, she’ll still look young enough to play one of the title characters when they inevitably make a movie about it!
After all, staring in teen melodramas is kind of her thing now.
Truly, there’s no end to the blessings that befall the supermodels of the world.
