Rihanna and Cara Delevingne are both starring in a new movie called Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Rihanna will be playing an alien stripper, according to CinemaBlend, and Cara will be fighting hordes of extra-terrestrials.
Sounds fun, right?
It’s a movie by Fifth Element director Luc Besson, and he surprised a lot of people when he brought footage of the recently-wrapped film to San Diego Comic-Con, featuring an alien stripper played by none other than Rihanna.
The movie, based on French comic books called Valérian and Laureline, also features Ethan Hawke, Dane Dehaan and Clive Owen. There’s not any footage to be seen from the film online so far, but stalking Luc Besson’s Twitter paints an image of an exciting movie that’ll be a good time for everyone. Especially those of us who want to see Cara in action.
So that’s exciting. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is out July 21, 2017, so if actual aliens don’t invade us before then, at least you’ll have this to look forward to.
