How Calvin Klein Ads Have Changed Throughout The Decades

Calvin Klein is known for its minimalist aesthetic while staying true to the brand’s undeniable sex appeal. Each of Calvin’s campaigns exemplify this, continually pushing boundaries and smashing industry standards.

Galore went back through the CK vault to find the steamiest shots from decades past. From Brooke Shields’ campaign in the 80’s to today’s celebrity-filled campaign including Kendall Jenner and Justin Bieber, see our 6 favorites below.

1970’s

It all started with the brand’s first campaign, where supermodel Patti Hansen suggestively crawled around in some high-waisted denim.

Yup, that’s definitely bombshell hair.

1980’s

At the tender age of fifteen, baby-faced Brooke Shields bared her midriff in an unbuttoned blouse and spoke the sultry words “Nothing comes between me and my Calvin’s.”

It’s easy to see why this took her from teenager to supermodel.

1990’s

Marky Mark went from an aspiring rapper to global heartthrob overnight with this CK underwear campaign, which was shot alongside fashion icon Kate Moss.

This is just the best advertisement to ever exist.

2000’s

Long before he became famous for his role as Christian Grey in the controversial phenomenon Fifty Shades of Grey, Jamie Dornan posed for CK alongside sex-symbol and actress Eva Mendes.

They should really date.

2010’s

Justin Bieber’s transition from innocent pre-teen pop sensation to music’s matured bad boy was finalized when he made his Calvin Klein underwear debut.

It honestly couldn’t get any hotter.

Today

The 2016 global campaign combines retro CK simplicity and modern muses posing in #MyCalvins. The campaign stars Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Abbey Lee Kershaw, FKA twigs, Fetty Wap, Klara Kristin, Joey Bada$$, Adwoa Aboah, Sung Jin Park and many other street casted models.

What nice abs Kendall has.
