How to slay any music festival according to HeyGorJess
Everyone knows New York City is a huge melting pot. From the food to the people there’s a whole lotta culture happening on every block. But today we’re gonna focus on one specific city and an amazing little festival that happens in it. The city is Brooklyn and the festival is Afropunk.
Last weekend, the Afropunk festival took place and NYC & Company has enlisted influencer Jessica, otherwise known on Instagram as @HeyGorJess, to cover it from her perspective.
Check out our interview below with Jessica as she explains her experience. We’ve even included live interviews from some funky individuals at the fest that you don’t wanna miss.

So how do you prepare for a festival?
I prepare by making sure I have a bag packed with necessities such as a portable charger, sunscreen, water, and sunglasses. These are some of the things I bring that help make sure I have a fun time.
My top favorite things to do are go to Prospect Park, visit the Brooklyn Museum, hang out on a cute rooftop, attend events, and eat at all of the different restaurants Brooklyn has to offer.
