These Celebs REALLY Want You to Know They’re Reading Books
Once you get past a certain age, it’s borderline impossible to find time to read, unless you’re a celebrity.
Celebrities tend to have a lot of free time on their hands seeing as their only job is to stay out of trouble while giving themselves as much good publicity as they possibly can.
And you know what a really easy way to give yourself good publicity is?
Reading a book.
Or at least getting your picture taken reading a book.
Or at least taking a picture of a book.
It tells their followers they’re not just gorgeous, famous, and good at memorizing lines or posing for the camera, they’re also smart and capable of thinking about something other than themselves.
Here’s a partial list of some books celebrities REALLY want you to know they’re reading. Or at least “reading.â€

Lindsay is at a turning point in her life right now where she wants to get in touch with the Middle Eastern roots she doesn’t have.
Obviously, this has resulted in a lot of interesting public stunts on Lindsay’s part such as donating energy drinks to Syrian refugees and walking around town holding the Islamic equivalent to The Bible.
When Lilo rebrands, she rebrands hard.
“The Vagina Monologues”
And Emma isn’t just reading “The Vagina Monologues,” she’s so enraptured by these vaginal stories that she literally can’t stop reading it long enough to take a picture.
Because that’s just the kind of feminist she is.
I don’t know what this book is about, but it sure does look like something an English major would have seventeen million pretentious thoughts about.
Emma Robert’s doesn’t just read books, she reads every book.
But don’t worry.
Even though she apparently spends every ounce of her free time with her nose stuck in a book, since she’s also really fun, occasionally she’ll read things like “Crystal Ball Reading for Beginners.”
“I Love Dick”
To be honest, this one kind of explains itself.
“God’s Little Princess Bedtime Devotional”
As if you couldn’t already tell on Snapchat, Kim Kardashian spends a lot of time showing the world how good of a mother she is to Nori.
This includes letting Nori try out as many Snapchat filters as she wants, letting Nori watch television on the concrete floor while Kim works out and making sure Nori doesn’t grow up to be a god-denying heathen.
TBH, I am not convinced Karlie Kloss read this book.
In fact, I’m pretty sure the only part of this book Karlie Kloss read was the front cover when she posted this Instagram.
“The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck”
Very on brand for her.
Just like Emma Roberts, Reese Witherspoon reads a lot and wants you to know that she reads a lot.
And of course, she made sure to tell everybody all about the joys of the best show on TV you’re not watching, Big Little Lies.
