Sporting bobby pins is back in style, and it’s a really cute look

Remember back in the day when everyone was rocking bobby pins and snap clips throughout their hair in various colors and styles? Well, we’re seeing this trend come full circle this year.

Bobby pins are officially the new hair go-to for 2018.

Rih wore bobby pins all over her head during the 2015 Met Gala, and Solange hopped on the trend, too, a few months ago on the red carpet. You can get your inspo from their looks, or the ones we’ve seen on the gram recently. Check it out below.

Multiple bobby pins in a straight line is a easy way to style this 90’s look. If you’re wearing your hair in a pony, try having noticeable bobby pins with designs to add some spice to a basic pony.

If you’re loyal to that ponytail life, try crisscrossing your bobby pins in an X like symbol. You can do this by placing 4-6 bobby pins on one or both sides of your head or a variation of X’s and straight lines like pictured above.

What’s dope about this look is that you can literally place the bobby pins anywhere throughout your head, just like Rih did here. Bobby pins come in so many different colors, and now many companies are even making decorative ones.

If you live for wearing your hair down, try using thicker pins to ensure your hair stays in place. Use a generous amount of pins, some like these.
