Blogger Marta Pozzan On How To Dress For Fall When It’s Still Hot Outside

LA is having a heat wave, and the worst part is, it’s too damn hot and sweaty to debut the turtle neck sweaters and wool mini skirts that get you in the mood for the greatest, most fashionable season, AKA fall. While it-girls at NYFW are in major overcoats and wide-legged jeans, we in the warmer areas are in tiny tanks and shorts to ward off heat stroke. Thankfully, blogger Marta Pozzan of It’s Super Fashion, gave us seven tips for getting in the Fall spirit when the weather is working against you. Pozzan’s updating her quirky, clean cut style through accessories and shoe choice, and she reveals how to get in the layering spirit, while still staying cool.

Select Transitional Pieces: I’m loving a good vintage jean jacket. I use my Levi’s one during the summer over maxi dresses and on top of a soft cashmere sweater during fall.

Get In The Spirit With Accessories: I love a good brown leather shoulder bag, like the Ralph Lauren and Chloe ones, biker boots, a nice soft linen scarf, fur embellished shoes (AKA the new Gucci slippers!!)

Stay Cool: Obviously, don’t straight up wear a massive fur coat, but sport the whole outfit as if seasons didn’t exist, that’s the key: don’t think seasonal, think unconventional.

Update Your Wardrobe: I recently got my hands on some Alexander Wang chunky biker boots, a YSL mini clutch with this iconic lipsticks print, Miu Miu round shades, and N.21 pumps.

Vibe It Out: I usually like color blocking and bright colors in general, or just black and white, but I feel like this coming fall neutrals, browns, beiges and warmer colors are definitely coming back. I’ll try to tone my pop art obsession down for a season.

Choose A Color Scheme: I’m loving black, burgundy red and ice white!

Find Some Inspiration: Look at fashion blogs and it-girl’s Instagram accounts, magazines of course, and old photography books. Also, certain shows and period movies like The Danish Girl, Masters of Sex, and Madmen.
