Blanda Eggenschwiler Talks What’s Haute In Paris (And What’s Not)!
Our girl Blanda Eggenschwiler recently went on an excursion to Paris and shared all of her fav things to do while in the city of lights. Check it out below!
What’s your fav spot to grab a bite?
“Le Derrière” is one of my favorites! Also, this new spot called “La Famille” right by Montmartre.
Where’s the best shopping?
Pigalle, Auguste, Starcowand Oqium are great spots. And Colette of course!
Who makes the yummiest macaroon?
Ladurée for sure, but you should also definitely try the macaroons at Fauchon!
What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever seen or experienced while there?
A bum in the 9th arrondissement once yelled at me across the street that I was really beautiful and when I smiled and yelled back ‘thank you’ he screamed: “Don’t thank me, thank your parents!” I thought that was hilarious! Oh wait, you wanted a romantic story..let me think..no, that’s it! 🙂
What’s your favorite French expression?
“Putain” haha I like the versatility of this word! You can really just use it in any situation to express surprise, anger, joy or reinforce something you are saying.
How does Paris compare to your hometown of Zurich?
I like both cities for their own and very different visual and cultural characteristics. I know Zurich way better than Paris, of course. Zurich feels like home when I am there. I only lived in Paris for about 8 months so when I visit now I enjoy discovering new spots and just enjoying my time there. I think the biggest thing the two cities have in common is, that they are pretty to visit but if you really want to get to know them you need to spend more time there and have local friends to show you around.
