Bella Hadid Cried Because of Feminism at NYFW
Is it just us, or has everyone been a bit of an emotional wreck in 2017?
Maybe it’s the uncertain political climate, or the horrible headlines we see everyday, but for some of us, like Bella Hadid, it’s just the chaos of New York Fashion Week.

The model cried at not one, but two fashion shows so far this week, Prabal Gurung and Oscar de la Renta.
While so many celebs seem to be over fashion week, relative newcomer Bella is still absorbing the intensity of it all, clearly.
“I went out and walked, and right before finale, when Prabal was about to go walk, I saw him tearing up and I just started crying because it was such a beautiful, moving show,” Hadid said to Fashionista. “Everybody in the audience was crying during the finale; it was really, really powerful and I’m really proud of him. It was incredible.”
In Hadid’s defense, the Prabal Gurung show was all about feminism, and the finale had every model strut the runway in an empowering shirt that said something like, “the future is female” (on Hadid) or “yes, we should all be feminists.”

As for her tears at Oscar de la Renta? She also chalked this up to it being an emotional week and her excitement about closing the show.
“I don’t know if it’s just a very emotional week, but that show has always been something really big to me,” she said to Fashionista.
Ah, to be young and have your only tears be happy tears from walking the runway for some of the world’s biggest designers. Must be nice.
