BABES OF THE BEAT: Bonnie McKee
Singer/songwriter, Bonnie McKee, has written for some of the greatest pop acts inclined Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Ke$ha amongst a few. She shares with us what’s in store for her own music this year, how she was trained and who she’d would love to work with next. How did you get into music? Were you classically trained?
I grew up being meticulously classically trained in choir and piano, and started seriously writing songs when I was about 12. I always knew this was what I wanted to do!
You have written hits for some of the biggest artist of all time what is your favorite song out of all them?
My favorite is Teenage Dream. Definitely a shining moment in my career.
What is playing on your iPod this week?
Artpop, Lady Gaga.

Guns n Roses
What song do you play to get the party started?
Anything by OLIVER.
What can we expect from your album this year?
Anthems. Bright colors. Lots of videos.
What is the best part of being an American girl?
The freedom to be who I want to be, say what I want to say, and love who I want to love. Sometimes we forget that there are still places in the world where women don’t have these basic rights.

Vintage Versace. I do a lot of online shopping.
