Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are the Best Friends We Wish We Had
The female comedy gods have answered our prayers. Who needs Olsen twins when you’ve got newfound gal pals Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer, the quickest-witted females in cinema and not only are they hanging out and riding jet-skis together, but they’re writing a comedy together. Yep, that’s real news. This is the kind of friendship you write fan fiction about people.
The two actresses met only a couple months ago when Lawrence mentioned Schumer’s name in an interview, and the comedian was obviously stoked. The admiration was mutual and soon the two were riding jet ski’s and calling each other by their celeb nicknames, a Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham-esque agreement that they’re both equally awesome and they should probably be hanging out already. When news broke that the two have turned play into work and have an actual screenplay in the works, it was the best news we’ve heard since there was no more prospect on a Bridesmaids 2. We’re banking on legitimacy on this one, given that Lawrence said in a recent interview with The New York Times, “We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now.”
The two feel like they are “creatively made for each other,” and I don’t think we need to see to believe on this one.
