5 Best Moments From Last Night’s Teen Choice Awards
The Teen Choice Awards is probably the least pretentious, most fun and least prestigious of all of the award shows on TV. Because of all of this, it is the most exciting as anything can (and usually does) happen. Last night was no exception as stars old and new got together to accept 6 foot tall surfboards and generally act like the goofy kids that they are behind the scenes. Here are some of our favorite moments from the show last night.
Talk about a Happy Birthday, Kylie Jenner turned 17 last night and celebrated growing up under the watchful gaze of millions of viewers by taking home the surfboard for Choice Reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians.
Donald Sutherland won Choice Villain and gave one of the best acceptance speeches of the night. “You named me the most villainous? My wife [Francine Racette] — I have been married for 42 years — my wife asked me to tell you that she agreed with you,” The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star joked. “I do not. I think, on the contrary, that I am very nice, sweet-tempered and generous. So generous in fact, that I have brought you souvenirs from Panem.” and finished by throwing some poisonous berries at the audience.
The best tandem speech had to have been when the cast of The Fault in Our Stars claimed their prizes for Choice breakout actors of the night. “I don’t surf or anything, so I guess I’m gonna put this on my wall,” said Elgort of the unique prize.
Shaileene went the inspirational route with her own speech. “I feel pretty honored to be accepting this award on behalf of women,” she said. “The truest form of bravery and of courage is to be ourselves.”
And then this happened.
The best moment of the night? All of young Hollywood getting together to dance to Rude by Magic.
