As if it wasn’t enough to curse 22-year-olds all over the world with the nagging question, “are you feeling 22?”, now Taylor Swift has claimed New York. Have you no mercy, Taylor? “Welcome To New York” is a wide-eyed ode to her true love and favorite city in the world: NYC. The song fits right in line with her generic radio pop sound on 1989. I never thought I would say I missed her singing about Romeo & Juliet with a innocent pop-country sentimentality… Luckily she did not claim dibs on an anthem for the illustrious city of New York.
