DJ to the stars Lindsay Luv has experienced an expectedly wild NYFW. And, also expected, she’s rocked some seriously head-turning front-row-friendly numbers. Galore caught up with the talented cutie and she spilled all the deets about her favorite looks and her favorite fashion-y music videos, which, spoiler alert, includes the Spice Girls, which, duh, makes us LUV Luv even more. Can you even imagine that?
Naya Rivera has been dropping hot deets about her personal life left and right since she started publicizing her new memoir, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up, but the fact that she bought herself an $8,000 boob job when she was 18 and has no regrets about is is def the juiciest.
For some benevolent reason, her parents didn’t pocket her profits, and instead of spending her hard-earned dollars on frosted lip gloss and hair crimping accessories, Naya saved it all for something much more important: a boob job.
“I went around to all my teachers, told them I was going to be out. ‘I’m getting plastic surgery’, I’d tell them gleefully,” Naya recalls in her memoir, excerpted by People. “My art teacher was stoked – when I told her she said that she too had fake tits and that she was very excited for me.”
Because that’s not weird at all, Naya!
“My new boobs were a confidence thing, not a sexual thing,” Naya continued. “I’d never even taken my top off for a guy. I hadn’t had many opportunities to do so, but even if I had, my bra was always stuffed with napkins.”
Immediately, something miraculous happened: boys started throwing themselves at her.
“As soon as I went back to school, [the boys] all practically fell over themselves rushing to see who could hold the door open for me,” Naya recalls. “People have a lot of opinions about plastic surgery, but more than 10 years after I got my boobs, they still make me happy when I look in the mirror. It might have been the best $8k I’ve ever spent.”
Hard to argue with that.
In the words of RuPaul, “If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else? Can I get an Amen?”
